保加利亚科学院生物多样性和生态系统研究所出版的开放获取的国际动物多样性、生态和进化杂志该期刊是保加利亚科学院的第一本动物学期刊的继续刊，标题为《动物学和博物馆公报》(1951-1974)。Bulgarica动物学Acta Zoologica在系统学和系统遗传学、动物地理学和动物学、陆地生态学和行为学、水生生态学、寄生虫学、古生物学、动物形态学和发育生物学、保护生物学、应用动物学和动物学的其他分支中发表原创研究文章、评论和简短交流，涉及动物的多样性、生态学和进化论。该期刊的地理范围是世界性的，但保加利亚和巴尔干动物群以及有关区域(例如黑海、多瑙河流域、欧洲东南部)的动物群是优先的。还接受对新动物学方法的描述、动物学书籍的简短评论或注释以及关于科学事件(过去或即将发生的)的信息。《Bulgarica动物学学报》以英文出版。对于2016年7月1日以后提交的文章，每打印一页需支付20 BGN(10欧元)的费用。

An open access international journal of animal diversity, ecology and evolution published by the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research, Bulgarian Academy of SciencesThe journal is continuer of the first zoological journal of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, entitled Bulletin de l’Institut de Zoologie et Musée (1951—1974).Acta Zoologica Bulgarica publishes original research articles, reviews and short communications in systematics and phylogenetics, zoogeography and faunistics, terrestrial ecology and behaviour, aquatic ecology, parasitology, palaeozoology, zoomorphology and developmental biology, conservation biology, applied zoology and other branches of zoology dealing with diversity, ecology and evolution of animals. The geographical scope of the journal is worldwide but a priority is given to the Bulgarian and Balkan fauna as well as the fauna of associated regions (e.g. Black Sea, Danubian Basin, Southeast Europe). Descriptions of new zoological methods, short reviews or annotations of zoological books and information about scientific events (past or forthcoming) are also accepted.Acta Zoologica Bulgarica is published in English.For articles submitted after 1 July 2016, a fee of 20 BGN (10 EUR) per printed page is applied.
